Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Dr. Yoruk attended Cornell University, graduating magna cum laude, for his undergraduate studies and pursued graduate education at Columbia University, where he met his wife, Sarah, a native of Southern California. They both went on to earn their medical degrees from the George Washington University School of Medicine. Following his internal medicine residency and general cardiology training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Dr. Yoruk moved to the West Coast to complete his clinical cardiac electrophysiology training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

During his time at UCSF, Dr. Yoruk worked alongside some of the country’s most distinguished electrophysiologists, including Dr. Edward Gerstenfeld and Dr. Melvin Scheinman, a pioneer in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and the innovator of catheter ablation. Throughout his training and practice, Dr. Yoruk has been deeply involved in clinical research, focusing on a range of topics including cardiac arrhythmia in advanced heart failure, long QT syndrome, sudden cardiac death, hypertension, aging and public health, amassing over 150 citations of his scientific work.

Dr. Yoruk relocated to Southern California in July 2022 to be closer to his wife's family. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties and currently resides in Westlake Village with his wife and their two sons. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Yoruk enjoys spending quality time with his family, is an avid sports fan, and has a passion for world travel.
